Sinopse
A king's sudden, irrational jealousy destroys his family and plunges his kingdom into a sixteen-year winter of mourning. The second half of the play shifts to a pastoral sheep-shearing festival, where the lost generation brings about a miraculous restoration. The famous final scene, involving a statue that appears to come to life, offers a breathtaking moment of wonder and grace. It is a "romance" that moves beyond tragedy to explore the healing power of time and forgiveness.
