Sinopse
Strange rumors surround the Martense family mansion on Tempest Mountain, where locals fear a "lurking fear" that strikes during violent storms. A reporter uncovers a history of inbreeding and isolation that has devolved the family into something sub-human and predatory. The story reaches a terrifying climax as lightning illuminates the swarm of creatures emerging from the earth to feed. It serves as a grotesque study of biological degeneration and the sins of the ancestors.
