Sinopse
A tragic tale of high-stakes adultery and social ruin unfolds as a Russian socialite risks everything for a dashing officer, only to find herself trapped by her own passion. Her descent is masterfully contrasted with a landowner's slow, honest search for faith and a meaningful marriage.
