Sinopse
Driven by a sudden windfall, a disillusioned man attempts to "purchase" a year of freedom and becomes obsessed with a woman trapped in professional drudgery. Their relationship becomes a complex negotiation of debt, pride, and the impossibility of truly escaping one's station. It is a hauntingly realistic look at the limits of financial salvation.
