Sinopse
A charming suburban community becomes the stage for a delightful, yet sharp, comedy of manners and social ambition. When a women's club seeks to elevate its cultural standing, rivalries flare and hilarious misunderstandings ensue. The narrative gently skewers the pretensions of the middle class, revealing the petty squabbles hidden behind perfectly manicured lawns. It is a witty, observant novel that perfectly captures the delicate, often ridiculous social ecosystem of a small town. Enjoy a warm and amusing look at the human desire for status and belonging.
