Sinopse
A shallow, financially ruined man agrees to a bizarre and cynical proposition: he will marry a remarkably plain and heavy-set woman if her wealthy father pays him her exact weight in gold. Believing he has secured an easy fortune, he quickly realizes that his new bride possesses a sharp intellect and a spirit far stronger than his own. As they navigate their unconventional and transactional marriage, genuine affection begins to bloom in the most unlikely of circumstances. It is a witty, satirical look at greed, vanity, and the surprising nature of true love.
