Sinopse
An impulsive marriage between a wealthy English widow and a passionate, impoverished Italian man ignites a disastrous clash of cultures. When an arrogant rescue mission is mounted to retrieve her baby from the provincial Italian town, the deeply repressed British relatives are blindsided by the raw, volatile nature of life outside their borders. Hilarious social comedy rapidly descends into shocking, irreversible tragedy beneath the sweltering Tuscan sun. A brilliant, devastating critique of English provincialism and the dangerous folly of good intentions.
