Sinopse
Grab your cosiest blanket and join Iqbal Farooq and his family from Blågaardsgade in this unique Christmas story - for the first time in English!
It is the 24th of December, and Iqbal's father has a bright idea. He wants the tallest, most beautiful Christmas tree on the whole block. Yes, in the whole of Nørrebro!
The Farooq family has never celebrated Christmas before, but they have a plan. However, since the plan involves Iqbal’s crazy uncle Rafig, they might encounter some trouble along the way...
With a Christmas tree topper gone astray and a not-so-innocent Santa Claus, ´Iqbal Farooq and the Guiding Star´ is the perfect read for anyone who wants to get into the Christmas spirit!
Manu Sareen is the author behind the politically incorrect children’s books about Iqbal and his immigrant family’s life in multicultural Nørrebro in Copenhagen, Denmark.
In November 2007, he received the BMF Children's Book Prize, and in April 2008, he was awarded the Orla Prize for the books about Iqbal Farooq.
Manu Sareen is also a well-known politician and has served as a Danish national congress member.
